The matters can be often resolved as early as after the first exchange of letters, and an amicable settlement can therefore be achieved in a dispute.<\/p>\n<p>However, if a settlement cannot be reached within a reasonable period of time, the matter can be taken to court <strong>mediation<\/strong>, where the parties seek to find a mutually satisfactory solution, assisted by a court-appointed judge and a potential expert. An agreement achieved as a result of mediation can be confirmed by a court decision.<\/p>\n<p>Our firm also provides a mediation service in accordance with the mediation procedure applied by the Finnish Bar Association (in Finnish: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianajajaliitto.fi\/asianajopalvelut\/tarvitsetko_asianajajan\/riitojen_sovittelu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/www.asianajajaliitto.fi\/asianajopalvelut\/tarvitsetko_asianajajan\/riitojen_sovittelu<\/a>) In our firm, Attorney at Law Mika Liukkonen is a mediator who has had the mediator training of the Finnish Bar Association.<\/p>\n<p>Arbitration is a dispute resolution method carried out away from the public eye, and the decisions are also left to the parties&#8217; knowledge only, but the decision itself is enforceable like any other final judgment.
